This standard BS 1741-7.1:1989 Methods for chemical analysis of liquid milk and cream. Determination of lactose content is classified in these ICS categories:

This Section of BS 1741 describes a reference method for the determination of the lactose content of liquid milk of all types. Preserved samples may be analysed by this procedure provided that it can be shown that the preservative does not interfere with the determination.
