This standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods for permanently installed chemical closets.

It covers only those closets which may be permanently installed for the following applications:

1. camping sites, caravan sites and marinas;
2. caravans and motor caravans;
3. small boats;
4. remote facilities without access to other drainage.

It does not cover closet installations in aircraft.

Specifies those features necessary to ensure that permanently installed chemical closets are made from suitable materials, give adequate service as regards operation, load bearing capacity and impact resistance, and safeguard public health and welfare.
