This British Standard specifies basic envelope dimensions for 90° and 135° short tangent and long tangent tubular elbows for use in hydraulic fluid power applications. The long tangent elbows are suitable for the manufacture of compression fittings; the 55 mm radius elbow has been excluded for this application.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the remaining dimensions not specified in this standard, the materials and the production processes, compatible with both service pressure and fluids, are stated in the purchasing contract.

Specifies envelope dimensions of 90° and 135° short and long tangent elbows. Most of the long tangent elbows are suitable for the manufacture of hose compression fittings in accordance with BS 5200.
