This standard BS EN ISO 2361:1995 Electrodeposited nickel coatings on magnetic and non-magnetic substrates. Measurement of coating thickness. Magnetic method is classified in these ICS categories:

  • 17.040.20 Properties of surfaces

Non-destructive methods which may not be applicable to auto-catalytic nickel coatings, depending on their chemical composition. Magnetic attraction method applicable up to 50 μm coating thickness on magnetic substrates or up to 25 μm on non-magnetic substrates. Reluctance method applicable to thicknesses of up to about 1 mm.
