Popis

BS IEC 60772:2018

This standard BS IEC 60772:2018 Nuclear power plants. Instrumentation systems important to safety. Electrical penetration assemblies in containment structures is classified in these ICS categories:
  • 27.120.20 Nuclear power plants. Safety
IEC 60772:2018 applies to electrical penetration assemblies (EPAs) in containment structures of nuclear power plants. It covers the engineering safety requirements to be met in the design, calculation, qualification, fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation of EPAs. EPAs provide gas-tight and pressure-resistant penetrations through the containment for one or more electrical circuits. EPA requirements are divided into mechanical (e.g. containment integrity), and electrical or optical aspects regarding safety. The mechanical requirements are valid for all EPAs.
This new edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:
a) Adaptation of terminology and definitions to current available IAEA and IEC glossaries.
b) Inclusion of various new definitions and requirements.
