Sections 2, 3 and 4 are concerned respectively with management, offices and shops being planned and designed and the adaptation of existing buildings.

The subsequent sections are concerned with windows, locks, doors, shutters, grilles, collapsible gates, glazing, roofs and other possible access points, lighting, intruder alarm systems, surveillance systems, access control, merchandise protection, cash handling and cash offices, strongrooms, safes, computer centres and the duties of security staff.

A comprehensive series of questions in the annexes affords a means of checking the adequacy of existing or proposed security measures.
