DESCRIPTION

BS ISO 14835-2:2005

This standard BS ISO 14835-2:2005 Mechanical vibration and shock. Cold provocation tests for the assessment of peripheral vascular function is classified in these ICS categories:
  • 13.160 Vibration and shock with respect to human beings

This part of ISO 14835 specifies

  1. the methods for measuring finger systolic blood pressures (FSBP) with local cold provocation,

  2. the procedures for conducting the measurements, and

  3. how to report the measurement results.

The methods in this part of ISO 14835 are designed to assist in the collection of data for a quantitative evaluation of the vascular response to cold provocation, and to enable specification of normative data.

The measurement of FSBP with local cold provocation can be used for the assessment of peripheral vascular function. This part of ISO 14835 is applicable to the assessment of vascular function in persons exposed to hand-transmitted vibration.
