Bridge parapet designs are described for the containment of vehicles of mass from about 825 kg to 30 000 kg. Impact tests are described for the lighter vehicles at speeds up to 110 km/h (70 mile/h) and for heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) at up to 80 km/h (50 mile/h).
